  2. Before the '08 version, iMovie HD was a great editor with an easy-to-use interface in the classic Apple fashion. Since iMovie '08, it has been utter garbage. The interface is barely more intuitable than a switchboard without labels. Still waiting for Apple to wise up and return to making powerful yet elegantly simple applications.
  3. Apple has released new updates for both Final Cut Pro and iMovie for macOS through the Mac App Store. IMovie version 10.1.5 for macOS includes a few bug fixes and improvements while Final Cut Pro.

On June 4, 2002, Apple Inc. Released the fifth update to Mac OS X 10.1.x 'Puma', Mac OS X 10.1.5. The build numbers vary: 5S60 is the build number for the original 10.1.5 update, whereas 5S66 is the build number following the installation of Networking Update 1.0, and 5T91 was a build released for certain Macs, noticeably iMac G4s. 1 Improvements 2 Related software updates 3 Version 10.1.5. Works for me in iMovie 10.1.5. If this is not working try launching iMovie with the alt and command keys down and select to trash preferences.
