It's rich set of controls allow you to tweak settings exactly the way you need to achieve that low fidelity sound. Predefined presets make it easy to find a perfect settings for your sound. NastyVCS is in CamelCrusher/CamelPhat territory, but potentially with higher sound quality and CPU use. Compared to those, NastyVCS seems geared more towards mixing and mastering than sound design. NastyVCS is a great saturation, analog eq, muli-type compressor, and a parallel limiter! I recommend you try it on a drum loop with good monitor speakers. I like it on drum busses just to bring it all together. Cytomic's 'The Glue' followed by Ferric is a fav drum bus chain for full analogue sounding drums. The glue makes sure Ferric isn't killing the peaks too much and Ferric brings up the lower levels and adds some sweet harmonics. adjusted to peak around 0dBFS
-Alternatively, use the INPUT adjustment knob to bring the incoming signal onto
duty level (plug-in internally)
-Use <ctrl> + mouse left click on a knob or switch to restore default position
-Use <shift> + mouse left click on a knob to fine adjust values
-Use this plug-in as an insert effect in any mono or stereo channel of your VST
